An Experimental Study to Apply an Absorption Refrigeration Cycle as a Dehumidifier in Humidification-Dehumidification Solar Desalination System

In this paper, the performance of a hybrid humidification-dehumidification (HDH) desalination system is experimentally studied. The operates as an Open-Air Closed-Water cycle and utilizes solar air heater to heat input humidifier. An Ammonia absorption refrigeration cooling used condense humid air, producing fresh water. Parameters such temperature relative humidity were measured in different stages by using sensors, thermodynamic analysis was carried out EES software. effects mass flow rate inlet on desalination, COP, GOR, efficiency humidifier dehumidifier proved that highest water production GOR 150 g/h 1.2, respectively. It also perceived with increase rate, COP increased, while diminished. This remains nearly constant. concluded leads fall other parameters show increasing trend. Following economic system, CPL found be $0.16 /L.
